Description

...can't be bothered scanning the real thing, so here, have a crappy webcam shot. :P And I know alot of people don't like her blonde...well, in her original concept art, she was blonde, so I decided to stick to that. :P

This is an attempted redesign of: since I believe that Emily's actual dress is...well, too revealing for a brides dress (especially for the late 1800's) and far too modern. So, I decided to do some..."research" of 1800's wedding gowns, and couldn't actually find find many...so, found some mid 1940-50's dresses, and blended that with the very little designs I could find of 1800's dresses and vuala....you get this...retarded...thing.

WARNING: LONG STORY.

My theory is, 5-7 years ago (before Emily died) when Barkis (who probably looked handsome...ish) swept Emily off her feet (over a couple of days) had convinced her to elope with him when her father refused their marriage proposal. He talked her into wearing all her finest jewels (belonging to her mother, along with her mothers old wedding dress) so that she would look "gorgeous" for their wedding.

The following night, she went to meet him near the old oak tree in the graveyard, but when she didn't expect it he crept up behind her, hit her on the head with the end of his sword. When he thought she was unconscious (or dead) he began to tear the jewels from her (tearing her gown in the process). Though Emily was still conscious and tried to put up a fight. She managed to wrestle with him a litttle until Barkis finally took hold of the sword, made the final blow and thrust it into her side (ribcage?).

Emily collapsed to the ground, blacking out as she slowly began to bleed to death. Leaving her for dead, Barkis fled, making off with her jewellery, and half of her dress (top half of her dress and sleeve things) because they were covered in sequenced jewels and pearls.

When Emily awoke, there was no sign of Barkis, her jewells were gone, her dress torn and her dreams taken from her. She sat there, crying for hours, until Bonejangles happened to stumble across her: Out of pity, he eventually convinced her to return with him to the Underworld. She hesitantly accepted his offer, she hated the thought of being alone...

Some time later, Emily's body starts to deteriorate, her right arm and left leg rotting away to bones, the wound on her side rotting away to reveal her ribcage, her hair turning from blonde and fading out to a blue/grey. Bonejangles begins to develop a close bond with Emily (as well as romantic feelings for her), unfortunately, Emily is utterly oblivious to this and all she's able to think about is the fact her "true love" broke her heart and shattered her dreams. Much to Bonejangles dismay, she returns to the oak tree where her life was taken, and stayed, waiting there, hoping she'd find her true love...(SOMEHOW). Though, secretly, she had hoped Barkis would return to apologise (a warped lovesick puppy thing), but he never did. She remained laying in the same spot (dirt and leaves eventually covering over her), until she fell into some sort of hibernation. Until Victor came along...

THE END!

...I think I'm gonna make a short comic of this...
